About Us ...

Birth is a natural, healthy, life-giving event which you may choose to share with your family and friends in an atmosphere of joy and trust.

Research shows that planned homebirth for low-risk women, attended by a suitably experienced registered midwife, is as safe, if not safer than, hospital birth.

The Homebirth Network of SA is a community group which supports and encourages women in their quest for a safe, fulfilling and empowering birth experience.

The group also works for changes in the health care system in order to better accommodate the needs of women who choose to birth at home.

 

Membership ...

Membership of the Homebirth Network of SA Inc entitles you to receive a Membership Benefits Card, our quarterly Homebirth Newsletter, to borrow resources from our library and to have your say at our business meetings and AGM.

We are a volunteer run, not-for-profit organisation. Membership fees enable us to print and distribute newsletters and other literature, pay stallholders fees at festivals, fairs and expos, and purchase resources for our library.

 

Full Year Memberships (joining Sep, Oct or Nov 09’ only):

Standard 1 Year $40; Concession 1 Year $30; Standard 2 Year $70; Standard 3 Year $100.

 

Partial Year Memberships (one of the above can be added to a partial year):

Joining between Dec & Feb $30; Joining between Mar & May $20; Joining between Jun & Aug $10.

The Membership form can be electronically copied, completed and emailed to HBN Secretary Hayley Harris ONLY if paying by Direct Deposit.
